2. Set piece - Scrum and Lineout. Players should learn the who, what, when, why, where it takes place and how to get set up ready for a scrum and lineout. Players also need to learn where to stand in defence during set piece
3. Teamwork

    - Quick pass after getting tagged

    - Working together to make a tag

 General Rugby terminology

• Rugby terminology
• Line names e.g. dead ball line, halfway line.
• Knock on, play on, forward pass, offside
• Position names
• Teach them about the rugby pathway to become a National player and what teams they should look up to. E.g. representative team as a child, senior feeder club team to the pros, local professional competition, national team.You can also talk about Rugby 7’s and the Olympics etc.
